On my final full day in the Florida Keys, the class spent the day in Key West. Our day began with a trip to the Hemingway House Museum. Afterword we were free to explore on our own until the sunset festival later that evening. Throughout the day my group of classmates explored many of the local attractions such as the southern most point of the United States statue, Harry Truman’s little White House Museum, a Cuban coffee shop, an amazing glazed donut shop, and finally a true iconic key lime pie shop. Finally after 4 hours of walking around the key we arrived at the sunset festival in Mallory Square not to find a sunset or bustling crowds but blustering winds and a gray sky. Luckily I had captured some sunsets and sunrises earlier in the week to share and my last day in the Keys was still quite fun.
