Sydney Ford is a Graduate Mental Health Counseling student at Franciscan University of Steubenville from Cincinnati Ohio. Her focus is on Christian/Catholic spirituality and how this can be incorporated within the counseling dimension and within the therapeutic relationship. She fully believes that the human person is by nature incarnational and therefore should be treated as one. The focus of the counseling process, she believes, should be on a holistic perspective throughout the course of therapy, one of body, mind, and spirit.
She received her undergraduate degree from Franciscan University with a dual major in Theology and Psychology.
Sydney intends to continue her research upon graduation to explore how Christian/Catholic spirituality can be properly incorporated into mental health counseling by pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
