Hello, my name is Robert Kelty and I am in the second year of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program her at Franciscan. I am a non-traditional student pursuing a second career after a lifetime in construction. I hope to find a place counseling people from the Catholic perspective of life and what it means to be a person.
I grew up number three in a family of seven children. My parents met as students at Franciscan, married, and never left. I’ve always thought of myself as a ‘traditional Catholic”—no hand-raising, speaking in tongues, etc. All that was somewhat foreign, even though, as kids, we saw a great deal of charismatic worship on campus.Details
